Hey Sacha,

I am attempting to implement FTS in Telescope using pure javascript (no 2.4 mongo or anything yet), but I'm running into problems with the publish-subscribe model in Meteor.

I've posted a question on Stack Overflow (the markup editor here didn't seem to place nicely with my code).

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15878611/how-to-implement-full-text-search-in-meteor-telescope

If you get a few minutes do you reckon you or Tom could take a gander?

Cheers, Francis

We're actually trying to rework the subscription code right now, it's definitely one of the more complex areas of Telescope. We're hoping to release a better version soon, hopefully it'll help you move forward with this.

I really appreciate that you're working on this by the way, search is definitely one of the most needed features! If you want to discuss it more feel free to ping me on Skype.

Two wishes: Fuzzy Search and Autocomplete (like in SublimeText) :)

I'm not sure this will be possible… we should probably look at Reddit and HN's existing search implementation to see what's doable.

MongoDB 2.4 introduces some full-text search options. Might be something to look into. I'm not sure if this is better integrated into Meteor first though.

If only there were a RavenDB provider for Meteor this would have been easy.
